To give up or to carry on ?

The two 'survivors' of the expedition Antarctica 2011-2012 are not in a very good shape. They do not know what to do next. To abandon or to proceed ?
Of course since the boss Asle T. Johansen left the trio two days ago (picked up by a Twin Otter to attend the Amundsen 14 December Centennial celebration at the south Pole), Jan Ertsas Morten and Gaute Grindhaug who had been left behind are a bit demotivated.
In addition, Gaute Grindhaug has a major problem with his feet because the skin of his boots (let's recall that these three are skiing with periode equipment) has become too tin and he got frosbites on some of them.
The situation is not yet critical ; but the doctor they called by satphone yesterday evening told them to be quite cautious and to rest few days before proceeding.
