Victory for Weber !

Published on 14.04.2010 - Richard Weber North Pole Expedition

Richard Weber, Tessum Weber, David Pierce Jones and Howard Fairbanks arrived safely at the North Pole today, Wednesday 14 April.

First of the teams that are trying the North Pole this season, the expedition led by Richad Weber arrived at the North Pole today Wednesday 14 April. At this time of the day (9pm) we do not have yet anymore news about their arrival and details about the last day of their expedition. More news tomorrow.

That said, we had Alain Hubert on the phone tonight : he told us that Richard's wife just arrived in Longyearbean to welcome the team. He thinks Boyarski is going to pick up the four tomorrow with an MI-8. But this is not for sure. Because the ice conditions around North Pole are desastrous. Alain also told us that this year, not a single team has made it o the Pole yet. Too much water.

More information about Werber's arrival tomorrow.
