Blyth Alexander served with the British Army for nine years before helping to set up HALO in Afghanistan in 1989. This British explorer is married and the proud father of three children

Now working in publishing with Financial News in London, he remains a trustee of HALO. A keen walker, he is the co-founder of The Caledonian Challenge, an annual 54 mile trek across the Highlands of Scotland for charity.

List of major accomplishments

  • 2003-2004 : South Pole Expedition. Alexander Blyth accompanied by Ray Middleton attempt a polar adventure to increase public awareness of the use of antipersonnel war mines all over the world. They trek with NorthWinds Expedition.
