Great victory for Norwegian Tour Operator Aleksander Gamme also : he has arrived at Hercules Inlet the same day as the pair Copeland/McNair (24 January). But surprisingly neither pair Copeland/McNair nor Gamme speaks about each other's arrival.

Aleksander Gamme has skied for 87 days from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole and back. According to him, he has covered 2.200 kilometers, that's without counting the detours. But Gamme does not count the detours.

He just wonders himself if he has had a good voyage during all these days passed on the ice. He thinks that happiness can not be found in the feat itself but somewhere in oneself after the challenge has been succeeded.

Surprisingly he said he was going to wait for the two Aussies Cas and Jonesy to arrive (they have about two more days to ski) before being picked up by an ALE Twin Otter.

This means that the dead line for the last flight out of Antarctica was NOT the 26 January (like announced) after all...
