On the ice

Published on 12.03.2007 - Mars North Pole Solo

Rosie Stancer was dropped off in Ward Hunt on March 6th – together with the two explorers Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen.

Since the drop off and their first press release, dated March 7th, we have remained without news. Meanwhile we have just learned that the Bancroft/Arnesen pair has decided to abandon the project on account of bad frostbites and of the terrible weather they have encountered in eight days of ice. On another hand, Stancer's first press release already mentioned a northwards progression on the ice-floe.

To be continued with more news.
