“Ready to put in the big miles…”

Published on 13.04.2008 - The TisoTransGreenland Expedition

Alex Hibbert and his companion George Bullard are in great shape and ready to press on.

The two men encountered rotten weather between 7th and 9th April, with violent winds and periods of white-out. This couldn't have come at a worse time because, on those particular days, they also had to battle their way across fields of sastruggi over 1.5 metre high! Hibbert even makes whimsical mention of Sastruggi City!

But since 10th April things have settled down a little. On Saturday 12th April, Hibbert and Bullard reached supply cache nº 2. The conditions for making progress have improved. The men are even talking about turning on the after-burners!
