The team has received the spare parts sent by an Illyouchine from Punta Arenas and they are busy reparing the car at Union Glacier ALE base camp. But one of them decided to go back home.
Jason "JT" Thomas (born in Honolulu, a Minnesota native and copywriter based in Toronto Canada) has no time to try with his two team mates the second attempt of the magical car. He has a too busy agenda and, after talking a lot with his wife on the phone, he decided to abandon the expedition.
The expedition is not over though ; Jason de Carteret and Kieron Bradley do want to make a second attempt. Fortunaltely, they have received in short time (17 December) from Punta Arenas the spare parts (wishbones) that were broken a week days ago when party came back from Patriot Hills.
It has been said in their last updates that during this second attempt, no update will be sent -their expertcomms officer not being on duty. But at the end of the voyage, we should be informed in any case -that's what has been written on 18 December.
