Yesterday, the team made excellent progress (20 km in 7, 5 hours) but there is still no good weather, no sun light and therefore no battery recharge in sight.
The mood is still glum during satellite communication with Arctic Arc expedition yesterday afternoon. Progression is good, and so is the drift â last night, the pack ice "pushed" them 3,5 km northwards â but, again, it's the battery charge which is preoccupying the two men. "We will not last very long like this", explained Alain, "because the telephone is, of course, vital to our security."
When we asked how long the batteries would last without sunshine, Hubert sounded sour and worried when he answered: "We will see..."
