After 67 days of adventure, it is time for the Irishmen to go home...

Picked up from the South Pole on 10 January at 11 pm, the Irish group arrived in their country four days later. The few days that Pat Falvey and his men had in Patriot Hills, on their return trip from the South Pole by ALE Twin Otter, were spent getting to know the workings of the tourist base. About fifteen people in all have to take care of the cooking, communication with the expeditions, logistics, the working of various installations, and so forth.
