Morale on the rise

So far, the two men have not had very good sliding conditions, either for skis or for pulling sledges. They hope the surface will improve now that the snow is starting to fall.

This is about all we can say about their progress over the past week or so.

We also received a text message saying that the katabatic winds had forced them to spend two days in their tent.

The average distance they have been covering per day remains more or less the same, too, at around fifteen kilometres a day.

Total distance covered since they set out: 425 miles (787 kilometres).
