Waiting for the DC3…

Published on 01.01.2008 - Interchange Shakleton South Pole Expedition 2007

The team got behind schedule while waiting for the DC3 to arrive from the Russian base Novolazarevshaya to pick up James Fox.

There are not a lot of details available on how the remaining two men, still out on the ice, are progressing. But as there are only two of them now, they have shed some of their load and sent it away on the DC3. This means their sledge is lighter.

Now in week four of their adventure, they are approximately halfway through their trip and appear to have caught up the time spent attending to their companion's injury.
