The Norwegian Cecilie Skog is the only woman in the world to have reached the Seven Summits and the two Poles.

Cecilie Skog was born on 08 August 1974 in Alesund, Norway. Alongside the great adventures that she leads all over the world, she has worked, since 1995, as a nurse and a mountain guide. She began mountaineering and ice climbing at the age of twenty.

On April 25, 2006, the France Press Agency of Oslo announced that this adventurous 31-year-old Norwegian had just reached the North Pole on skis (with Per Henry Borch and Rolf Bae)She thus became the first woman of all time to have conquered both the Seven Summits - the highest points of the seven continents [Everest (Asia), Aconcagua (South America), Denali or McKinley (North America), Kilimandjaro (Africa), Elbrouz (Europe), Vinson (Antarctica) and the Pyramid of Cartsensz (Oceania)] - as well as the two poles, North and South.
