Johan Ernst Nilson has started his journey on 6 april at the North Pole. Almost 5 months later, he is ready to jump to the Mexican border, from the Baja Peninsula, to be on the safe side...

We have already told this to our readers : Nilson doesn't write much.

At least, since several weeks (perhaps it's because we had asked him), he adds the daily dates when he puts something on his website, so that we can follow him better; but as far as the story in itself is concerned, he does not tell much about the anedotes of road movie he is living.

Even until recently, we did not know if his swedish friend Carl Robert Björkander was cycling with him. Not a single photo of him, not a single thought about the travelling together, not even a mention of his name along the road either. And suddenly, on 17 August, Nilson writes : "... When passing by LA I was invited to one of the worlds greatest spiritual leaders Guru Singh to discuss Happiness. After a long dinner at his home we played guitar and told stories. Carl Robert made a new friend. .." So at least, we have a sign proving that Nilson is not alone on the way to the South Pole.

Here are some excerpts of his notes : "... Now I am in Newport Beach where I used to live 20 years ago. I have one more day on the road until I reach San Diego where I will have a meeting with Deepak Chopra. This is a meeting that I have been looking forward to for many years. (20 August)..."

" ... San Diego. Closer to Mexico than ever and more excited than ever. Mexico is one of those places where people go 'WHAT, you’re going to bike through Mexico ?'. Well, we have to stay out of the dark and away from a few cities but besides that all is going to be fine. We are now taking Baja, the peninsula, to be on the safe side. Today we are guests at Deepak Chopra’s Center in San Diego and tomorrow I have a private session with him to talk about Happiness, Love and Motivation. Newport Beach...(22 August)"
