For period clothing team, game is over

The pair which has been left behind six days ago by T Asle T. Johansen (flown to the SP to attend the Amundsen Centenary celebration) was totally demotivated. On 12 December, they decided to give it up.

"To give up or to carry on ?" was the question of our last update (see the coverage).

The answer has been put forward shortly afterwards.

On 17 December, the team of the Period Clothing expedition, completely demotivated, has been picked up by ALE losgisitics.

Jan Ertsas Morten and Gaute Grindhaug have travelled for 46 days on the ice. They awaited the plane from Union Glacier for five days, being obliged to stay on the same spot to take care of the landing.

They are deeply disappointed by their abandon, but do not reject the idea of coming back one day to finish off the job.
