Ultimate Arctic Crossing - part 2

Here an spectacular phenomenon of refraction and reflection of the solar rays by crystals of ice suspended in the atmosphere, which appears especially in the Polar Regions: the "parelic circle". This a white halo with sun around it, a kind of crown on which from time to time other light sources appear. When one is lucky enough to see two of them located on both sides of the heavenly body (as here on the photograph), one can pride oneself on having seen what is called the "three suns".
